Building the Body of Christ - Part II Capital Campaign
“You are the Body of Christ and individually members of it. ~
1 Corinthians 12 : 27”
Completing the Build
In 2004 First Presbyterian Church initiated a Building the Body of Christ Capital Campaign to expand our hospitality space, expand our classrooms, increase the amount
of parking, upgrade the mechanical systems and build a room large enough for congregational events. This
expansion has enabled our church to become more active and to host a growing number of outside groups in our facility. The parking lot is rarely empty and the
building is seldom dark.
Funds from the initial campaign will be expended in 2011 and a mortgage will remain. A Building the Body of Christ - Part II Capital Campaign is being launched to retire the debt over the
next five years.
As our journey of faith continues, we wish to extend what we have received to the generations that follow and be certain that the ministry of Jesus Christ will continue
to flourish in this place. We willingly seek to secure the financial stability of the church by ensuring the facility addition is unencumbered.
Sharing Christ's Love & Teachings
The church continues to share Christ’s love by offering the use of the new facilities to over 60 different groups annually.
When the market value for the use of our facility and the actual cash expended is considered, over $180,000 is contributed to
the local community as a demonstration of our stewardship.

our FPC family and our community.
Building the Body of Christ
The ministry of the church continues to flourish and evolve. The new addition continues to be a tremendous resource for ministry as evidenced by comments from
some of our members.
A church is, of course, more than a building. The church is the people whom God has gathered to serve the world and to
proclaim the gospel.. Worship, nurture and mission remain the essential tasks for our life together. We prayerfully ask
your considerations to eliminate the debt and continue our work together.

Dear Friends in Christ,
August of 1972, our family moved to Findlay. After visiting many churches, the Spirit guided us to make First Presbyterian our spiritual home.
We are so grateful! Sunday services, involvement in many of the internal programs and the outreach efforts have enriched our lives.
The congregation of First Presbyterian has led in innumerable local mission efforts. With the new addition, we provide meeting and rehearsal space for approximately 60 different community
organizations. Yes, we are “Building the Body of Christ”.
However, our mission is not completed. It is absolutely imperative that as a church body we raise $2.5 million to pay off the rest of our loan.
Please search your hearts and be guided by love to contribute to this most important effort.
Blessings,
Chuck and MaryAnn Younger
